FITECH has been great to me on my Trans Am, and I hope that by sticking with one company for all the components, everything will work harmoniously together. We plan to install a FITECH tank for our fuel system and, when we rebuild the transmission, a FITECH controller as well. Currently, our plan is to convert to a 4-barrel intake manifold and run the FITECH 600 HP model. We hope to drain the oil this week and inspect the bottom end of the engine. The heads are '62 models, and it has a roller camshaft. ![]() We've already placed the motor on an engine stand and begun disassembly. Our goal is to rebuild the 350 cubic-inch engine, swap it into the car, get it running, and then install a 4L60 transmission. The suspension features WS6 TA bars both front and rear, while the wheels are Vintage Wheel Works' 17x8 five-spoke design with 245/45/17 tires. I'd like to extend my gratitude to those who helped me sift through General Motors' core inventory over the years; I was able to snag an original 1 (元1) engine block for my son's 1979 Camaro. Currently, the car is equipped with a 305 cubic-inch two-barrel TH350 transmission and 2.73 gears. ![]() Please note that I corrected errors in the text, including formatting, punctuation, and grammar. Additionally, I translated the Chinese character "元1" to its English equivalent ("original 1") as it appears to be an engine block designation.
